To introduce the newest addition to the Communities of Practice (CoP) initiative in the Isle of Man, The ESG Institute, with support from Digital Isle of Man, invites you to attend the first 'Sustainability & Tech’ themed event on Tuesday, from 3:00-5:00 PM at Launchpad, CoC offices, Hillary House in Douglas.
This will be the first event as part of the 'Sustainability & Tech’ CoP and will include the latest news on the role technology plays in sustainability, a Q&A session, discussions, and networking.
The first meeting will be introduced by Joanne Thurlow, Executive Director at the ESG Institute, who will speak on the distinction between tech-enabled sustainability vs sustainable tech, and how technology is central to achieving sustainability and ESG targets.
The community will serve as a shared space for tech-enabled sustainability and sustainable tech announcements, news, and resources across government, industry, education, and the Isle of Man community.
Meetups will occur every 6 weeks, on a Tuesday afternoon. Meetups are open to everyone, from those just curious about the role technology plays in achieving sustainable outcomes.
An Introduction to Sustainability & Tech Communities of Practice
Digital Isle of Man recognised the need to support communities of shared interests to come together. This has resulted in Communities of Practice (CoP) across their programs.
We welcome you to our newest Community of Practice – the ‘Sustainability & Tech’ CoP! We are passionate about sustainability and technology, believing that collaboration is key to driving positive change. As practitioners, we come together to share ideas, find solutions, and introduce innovations critical to realizing sustainable outcomes across industries, sectors, and organizations. Our CoP is a learning network that encourages sharing our knowledge. Join us as we harness the CoP to enhance interaction, trust, and sharing of knowledge across our communities.
This is open to all who are interested. Meetings will be held every six weeks on a Tuesday.
